When it comes to the Evergreen State Fair, many contests have become annual events. Fairgoers have come to expect the fun associated with blowing the biggest bubble or winning the Egg Toss with a friend. In honor of 100 years, we're planning a Contest a Day! Many Contests represent a different decade or are connected to a particualr period. Check out the Evergreen State Fair web site for more info.
This year the fair will host another attempt at a Guinness World Record during this year's fair. The Guinness Record for the largest circle dance was set in 1995 at Bangor, County Down, in Northern Ireland, where 6,748 people danced the Hokey Pokey. We'll try to bring together even more people to dance the Hokey Pokey and break this record. Be sure to register at West or East gates between 10am-1pm on Sunday, August 31.
