Yet another way to save the world and a few bucks: the local library is a great place to find music and movies.

I haven't been much of a library enthusiast since my college days- absolutely loving the chance to read every Sports Illustrated ever printed and gaze out over the football stadium at Washington State University.
I realize that admission probably explains my grade in Food Science & Human Nutrition freshman year, but I digress.
What I didn't realize years later is that the public library system has evolved into an excellent resource for all sorts of archived things- DVD's, music, etc. The local libraries in the three counties surrounding Seattle have plenty of selection for multi-media (and we've helpfully included those links at the right).
I couldn't help but think of this last night as I was leaving my local video store, DVDs placed in yet another awful plastic bag. If I'd picked this up at the library, they just hand it to me. Plus, they don't force me to fork over $4 for the privilege.
Personally, I'm the type who loves any solution that saves the green in my wallet and the green in my pocket.
So, next time you get a chance, check out what's doing at the local library for all your entertainment needs.
