    Meet Kevin - Author...Green Economist...Visonary

    Kevin Danaher is one of the co-founders of The Green Festivals, a series of events in cities around the country bringing together green trade and eco-minded citizens. With a belief that sustainability is a grassroots effort he brings the message of what we do local changes things global.

    In addition he is an anti-globalization activist and the author of numerous books, including Insurrection: The Citizen Challenge to Corporate Power. With his wife Medea Benjamin and Kirsten Irgens-Moller he is co-founder of Global Exchange, an anti-globalization Non-governmental organization based in San Francisco, California. He received his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He is also known for his lectures around the country at various universities as well as to community organizations.     (© MMX, CBS Broadcasting Inc.
