But before darkness falls, Blair gets serious a little too soon for the Lord's liking. It turns out Marcus wants to 'wait' to get physical. His request sends Blair into a sexually frustrated tizzy.

Meanwhile, still bogged down by the unrealistic demands of her unrealistic Eleanor Waldorf internship, Jenny dishes dating advice (at 14?) to the older "pining for Nate" Vanessa.

Speaking of Nate, Catherine the Cougar (Marcus's mommy) digs her claws even deeper into the financially unstable Nate Archibald. She has him whipped ever since she volunteered to 'Help Nate' with his family's money woes. The two talk while shopping in the Purple Label Ralph Lauren store, though the Ralph Lauren Rugby store on University Pl. would be more Nate's style.

Serena and Dan have an ice cream break and plan to tell everyone that they are back together...not that anyone will be shocked after last weeks PDA parade the two put on at Blair's Hudson Hotel party. Before they have the chance to 'Come Out,' our favorite blog spreads the word to all, via a scandalous lip locking camera phone pic of Serena and Dan.

Blair is not amused. SNAP! So much romantic frustration is circling these young blue bloods and classes haven't even started yet.

While strolling through Central Park, Dan and Serena attempt to have a serious convo about the lack of resolution in their on again off again pairing – which is quickly cut short by a gang of 'tween "Gossip Girl" readers. The three over-styled 13-year-olds express their dislike of Dan's choice and start quizzing him on the effects of Georgina Sparks's damaging actions towards Serena and Dan's union...Great nod to a quintessential Season One plot line. I just hope this doesn't signal the return Ms. Sparks.

Chuck is busy burying his feelings for Blair in the arms of many, many different woman, much to the disgust of stepsister Serena. She asks Chuck to just admit that he isn't over Blair. He does not oblige.

The most entertaining part of 'Gossip Girl' is Blair… and she's up to no good. Under the slight influence of her love for Marcus and her hate for his mother, Catherine the Cougar, Blair enters into a plan that involves Vanessa and the object of her affection, Nate. The Cougar is about to pounce on the brooklynite's little heart.

Blair's party (the second in that many weeks) starts off with a sex offer from Chuck Bass, and Vanessa uncovering the truth behind Nate and Catherine's affair. Cut to BLACKOUT.

The party goes dark but the revelations get brighter then ever, while the doomed Serena and Dan sit, trapped, in an elevator. Forced to face the problems that have been plaguing them from the start, Dan and Serena start to comely rationalize their issues only to quickly progress into an screaming match that prompts Serena to ask Dan to "Be Silent".

Downtown, Dan's sister Jenny is stuck with her boss and Blair's mom, Eleanor Waldorf.

Back at the party, tensions reach a feverish pitch when Catherine threatens to expose Nate's Father's whereabouts if Vanessa didn't back down. Vanessa, having Nate's best intentions in mind decides to push Nate away, hoping that the Duchess will keep her end of the pact. Letting her sexual frustration get the best of her, Blair, asks Marcus to meet her upstairs in her bedroom while the guests fumble around in the dark. Overhearing this, Chuck decides to intercept the rendezvous and take full advantage of the anonymity that comes with a black out.

The lights come back on, Marcus punches Chuck, Jenny connects with Eleanor Waldorf, and Serena permanently servers her relationship with Dan. Drama is best served in the dark...
