As if Britney Spears didn't already have enough problems on her hands, OK! Magazine is reporting that she is being "stalked" by an obsessed fan who has been sending her packages that contain sex toys and threatening notes. "It quickly escalated to larger packages that now arrive two to three times a week - always to the same L.A. address, but never to one of Britney's homes," a source close to the case told the magazine. Ever heard of someone making the mistake of asking an overweight woman how far along she is? Well the exact opposite has happened to Lisa Marie Presley. Apparently she was trying to keep her pregnancy private, however as photos of her frame sporting a few extra pounds began to surface and garner ridicule, she felt it was time to speak out. "After being the target all week of slanderous and degrading stories, horribly manipulated pictures and articles in the media, I have had to show my cards and announce under the gun and under vicious personal attack that I am in fact pregnant," the 40-year-old singer wrote on her MySpace page. Seems like everyone in Hollywood has caught the pregnancy bug these days. R.E.M.
is gearing up to release their new album "Accelerate" on the social networking application iLike. This is the first time a major act will allow fans to stream and share their entire album.
"It was one of those ideas that was presented to us and it seemed like a good one so we ran for it," R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe told Billboard.com. This is the first time I have heard about iLike so I will need to check this out and see what it's all about. I think this among other networking applications are definitely the future of where music is going and just like the record and the tape we will find cds being a minority when it comes to album sales in the future.
