Jerry SeinfeldĀ
was in a rollover wreck on Saturday, when the breaks on his 1967 Fiat's brakes stopped working. He tired to stopped the car using the emergency break which didn't work and then swerved to keep the car from going into an intersection, says Police Chief Todd Sarris.
Sarris reported that the Fiat flipped over and stopped just shy of reaching the highway and because of Seinfeld's maneuvering he
"probably avoided a very serious accident."
The wreck was said to have been caused by a mechanical failure and Seinfeld walked away from the wreck "without a scratch," his wife Jessica stated to the Post.
"He was a little shocked when he walked in and it started to dawn on him what happened."
"Because I know there are kids out there, I want to make sure they all know that driving without braking is not something I recommend, unless you have professional clown training or a comedy background, as I do," said Seinfeld. "It is not something I plan to make a habit of."
