    NEWS: A Pregnant Man?!?!
Is it really possible for a man to be pregnant?

I have been hearing all over the news and radio that an Oregon man is pregnant. Yes you read that right, a man by the name of Thomas Beatie is the center of attention lately as being a pregnant man. He is reported to be five months pregnant with a due date around July 3rd.

So here's the catch. Thomas was born a woman who got a sex change with only chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy. Although legally recognized as a man, Thomas still has the reproductive organs he was born with.

The point is, the subject and titles that people use for this story is very catchy and you just want to find out if this is really true. As you begin to unravel the layers of how this came to be it's not as groundbreaking as most initially think it is. However I continue to hear people's comments on how shocked they are that a man is pregnant.

Just because someone is legally considered to be a man it doesn't mean they are born that way. I think that is the most important aspect of this all. Yes we are talking about a legally recognized man as being able to produce a child, but when you take a good look at the subject at hand it is actually very simple. A biologically born woman produced a child and a transgendered man is carrying it.
