The sounds of David Bazan, Rocky Votolato and Death Cab for Cutie helped forge his passion for honest, heart-felt music. He bought his first guitar for $50 at the age of fifteen and quickly began to craft his own distinct sound.

Sound Off!: Finals
The Sound Off! Finals took place on Saturday, March 1, and drew a crowd of over 750 people to EMP's Sky Church. This is the Northwest's largest under-age battle of the bands and while over 80 bands submitted their demos, just 12 were chosen to compete in the Semi-Final rounds, and only 3 bands made it to the Finals.
Sound Off!: Man Down Medic
Sound Off! is the Pacific Northwest's largest under-age battle of the bands. The Semi-Finals Round 3 took place at EMP/SFM on Saturday, 2/22, and featured local bands Deer City, Kusika, Shotty, and Man Down Medic.
