    Judas and Gatsby are not new to the music scene. Both were raised in extremely musical families and name a diverse list of influences: AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Marvin Gaye, as well as some Seattle flavor: Jimi Hendrix, Quincy Jones, Nirvana. Whether it's packing the Experience Music Project, playing Bumbershoot, or the Capital Hill Block Party, Cancer Rising has earned a following in Seattle.

    Fusing rock, soul and funk into hip-hop with sincerity and furious energy, Cancer Rising will be following their debut album Search for the Cure, with a self-titled EP scheduled for release in August. As they return to their Southend Seattle roots, Cancer Rising promises to 'rep their region the only way they know how- with skills, wit, and originality'.
