I have to admit, I am in no way shape or form a soulja boy fan but I can never knock another man for his hustle. According to BET.com:

"Teenage rapper Soulja Boy set a record when his ringtone "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" was digitally downloaded for the three-millionth time. His career debut single has been nominated for a Grammy (Best Rap Song) and the video has more than 28 million hits on YouTube. "Soulja Boy has set the bar for what's possible in terms of breaking an artist online," said Steve Berman, President of Sales and Marketing for Interscope Geffen A&M Records (Soulja is signed to Collipark Music under the Interscope umbrella). "He's been doing it since day one, before he was signed here, so I'm not surprised he's setting a record today."

The 17-year-oldĀ even named hisĀ album after his website, SouljaBoyTellEm.com. Though the album hasn't done well with the critics, the site has over one million unique visits per month, according to the label's statement."

For the record I despise the song and the dance and I'm banking on the fact that in about 6 months from now we will never hear about him again. Learn the dance while you can because this one hit wonder will go out of style very soon.

P.S. for those of you who sing this song without paying attention to the lyrics, you might want to give them a read so you know what your actually singing. The lyrics aren't as innocent as one might think.

    "I'm just sayin"
